Things I'm loving right now

-This weather. Humidity is gone (for now) and it's so beautiful outside.

- That I got the lighting for my studio today. So. Excited.

- Newborns. I did my second newborn session yesterday. I feel really good about it. Here's a peek:





I love that this job allows me to get my newborn fix without having to actually have a newborn. It's much better this way. Go here to see the rest.

- Tastee Freeze. More specifically, their Strawberry cheesecake hard ice cream. Best. Stuff. Ever.

- The upcoming holiday weekend. It will be much fun with great Friends.

- Birthday party planning. I can't believe my baby will be 1 in just 2 short months.

Big Brothers

This has to be the most adorable set of siblings I've ever seen. They did so good too! And you can so tell these brothers absolutely adore their baby sister Lucy.

So I took these without help from anyone and it was pretty difficult. She was difficult. She kept wanting to eat the grass and drooled like crazy. They didn't turn out as good as I wanted but they'll have to do. She's so stinkin' cute!

Ava's Easter pictures

OK this girl is so dang adorable, it really is hard NOT to take good pictures. We had so much fun just playing and running around and I think I got some excellent shots. Here are just a few for you to enjoy :)

Toe nails and some pictures

Spring is on its way so that means time to paint the toe nails! For the first time in who knows how long, my toes actually had no paint on them. So, while I was at walmart, I picked up new shade. Meet Flirt Alert.

This and that

So I'm in full swing of trying to get my photography business off the ground. I'm designing some business cards, booking shoots, looking up contracts...all that good stuff. Oh did I mention I'm getting a studio??? YEAH!! Its going to be in the new building our church is getting and they are letting me have one of the big rooms for my studio. It's and old industrial arts building and by old I mean totally horror-movie-creepy so it's going to need some renovating but I'm hoping possibly by the end of the year I will be up and going. I'm beyond excited and soooo ready to be doing what I love full time while getting to spend more time with my beautiful daughter. It really will be perfect. So if you need pictures, you know who to call :)

I really wish I could post more pictures but seeing as I can only blog at work, its not quite possible. I have some great pictures from a play date Amelia had the other night with a little girl only a month older than her. A month older yet, 5 lbs smaller. HA! Mia looks like she could eat her, its too cute though.

I'm totally and completely ready for spring. It's been teasing me lately with nice days here and there but the rain and cold always returns.....come on sunshine....we miss you so much!! I bought Mia's Easter dress the other day and boy is it precious. Her first Easter....I can't wait!

Spring/Easter child portraits

I've decided it is definately time to update my portfolio so anyone who wants Spring/Easter portraits of your kiddos, let me know!

All sessions are $30 ($45 for more than one child) You will receive about 10 images on a CD and the rights to have as many printed as you wish. Call or email me to set up a date (weekends-April) time, and location (outside). Shoots are limited to 1 hour. There will be a real bunny available for all shoots prior to Easter so hurry!!

I need a name..

for my photography business. I've been trying to think of one for ages and just can't seem to come up with something cool and snappy. Since I know sometime in the future Ben and I will have our business together (me doing photography and him doing graphic design) it will need to be a name such as "Blah Blah Photography and Design." Any got anything?? I don't want anything like "A Moment in Time" or "Picture This"...you know, nothing cheesy. I would like to maybe use our names somehow but so far the only thing I can come up with is "J & B Photography and Design" but that just doesn't flow right. So anyone got any ideas to throw out there??? Please, anything....

It's been awhile...

but I really haven't had much to blog about.

Trin and I had a great time in Florida last month but were glad to come home.

I go back to school in about a month. I'm excited yet not because I know I tend to get really stressed out really quick. Hopefully this semester will be better...

I am doing my first wedding photography in two weeks. It is my cousin's and am really excited. I also have one scheduled for October, some senior pictures to do, high school soccer team pictures and hopefully more. It's exciting that it is already starting to take off. What will it be like when I get my degree? :)

Ben and I have really been praying hard lately for God to show us where He wants us and what He wants us doing as our ministry. We are pretty sure we know what He wants us doing but it is going to take a lot to get there. All your prayers would be awesome.

I have a new obsession. It's called Twilight. It is a book series that is really quite good. It is more for young adults but I think lots of people would enjoy them. If you like vampires, werewolves and love stories, this is a series for you. There is also a movie coming out in December...

So that's what's been going on in my world. Sorry it's been so long. I promise to write more often!

Update

Haven't posted in awhile. Sorry.

This is the last week of School. I cannot begin to describe how excited I am.

I go to Florida in 33 days. I think that is about the only thing pushing me forward right now...the fact that I will be resting on a beach in just over a month.

Ben and I recently started watching the first season of Heros. I can't believe I was missin out all this time. I am addicted. So is Ben.

Ben and I had a nice day yesterday. WE went to eat at one of our most favorite Chinese places after chuch with friends. We filled our tummies with yumminess. Then we got home and went to the park with Cyrus so I could take some pictures for my last project. Ben took last night off just so we could hang out today and watch Heros. It was so very nice. I love him.

Here is my final project for my photography class. The theme is "At the Park." Enjoy.
