Big News!

and no it's not that I'm pregnant!...haha.... I got a new job.

Before I left Woodforest, I had put applications in at different banks to try and get on at another one in town. Since that was in January, I figured by now they weren't interested. I was wrong as always.

Last Friday morning the head honcho guy from People's Bank called and wanted me to come in for an interview. I was amazed. This is the same bank I went for an interview last year about this time and they ended up deciding they didn't want to hire anyone.

Well my interview was yesterday morning and they said they would let me know no later than the beginning of next week.

He called this afternoon to offer me a part time teller position.

I am beyond excited because I will be working the hours I want which is right at 32 hours a week, perfect for being able to get homeowrk done too. It also pays pretty good. It is more than I made at Woodforest but less then Subway but I'm OK with that.

Did I mention it is like three buildings down from my apartment so I can walk to work everyday? With gas at $3.18 right now, imagine how much money will be saved by not having to drive to Newburgh everyday!

The bad news is that I have to tell Mary I'm quitting AGAIN. I feel like such a schmuck because she welcomed me back with open arms and a smile and now I am just going to leave again. BUT I did put in this application BEFORE I went back to Subway so it's not like I went behind her back to find another job...right?

Anyway I will tell her in the morning.....Wish me luck!

I'm so excited that I get to dress up for work!...lol...a reason to go shopping!

Sorsha Turns 2

Today was Sorsha's birthday and she had a great time at her Blue's Clues themed party. I know Trin will probably want to post more about the details so I will let her but here is a picture or two of her on her big day.

This one is of her playing with her different Blue's Clues characters before the party which she knew all of their names very well.

This was the present opening and this is her actual surprise face when she saw what it was. She kept saying "open it, open it." So cute.

This is my favorite picture from the day. I love her chocolaty smile. if you click on the picture you can see what I mean. That girl kills me.
Happy Birthday Sorsha! We love you!

Engagement

I did my friend Whitney's engagement pictures today. We went to the school to use the studio there (I will someday have my own) and it was much fun. I have to say that just being behind the camera and taking pictures is one thing in this world that I feel absolutely comfortable doing and I have so much fun when I do. I can't wait until I get to do this for a living. Anyway, here are a couple pictures of the lovely couple.

I really think they turned out well. What do ya'll think?

New picture!

Since I don't have a scanner, this is actually a picture of the picture hence the glare from my flash at the bottom, but you get the idea. This is a picture from an assignment at school. It is by far one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken simply because it was fun to do and all of the detail it has. We had to shoot it with one of the old fashion 4x5 cameras and for those of you who don't know what those are they look like this.

They are big and bulky but they are really awesome because you can move almost every part of it to take pictures at all sorts of angles and views. If it weren't for the fact that it is film and I hate film, I'd get one.
That's all for now. More soon!

Our Family

So I was bored and wanted to take pictures but didn't know what to photograph. Then I decided to take pictures of the only thing around, our children. Cyrus and Ozzy cooperated quite well, the cats.....not so much but I did the best I could. So here is our (not quite so) little family.

This is Cyrus, the newest edition to the family. We adopted him from the humane society a little over amonth ago. He is a boxer mix and a year and a half old. He's a big baby and sometimes a trouble (and mess) maker but I still love him. Just look at those big puppy dog eyes, how could you not love him?

This is Ozzy. He was originally my mom and dad's dog but they had to move in with my grandpa who already had a dog who wouldn't get along with Ozzy. My brother took him for a couple of months but he didn't do very well over there so that's how he ended up with us. He is a chihuahua mix and very temperamental. He is about 7 years old. Though he has an attitude bigger than he is, I love him too.

Shadow is about 6. We got him from Ben's sister Trin because as she and her husband Gabe were going on their 4th child, he made her get rid of him. I don't think he is all right in the head but he is very affectionate. Even though he is not all there, I love him.
Then there is Chester. If I had to pick a favorite, it would be him. I found him at Ben's mom's house outside when he was just a kitten. He is now about 2 and my little buddy. He is somewhat shy but very loving and sweet. What can I say....I love him.
There, now you have all met the animals who are basically our children and will comtinue to be for a very very long time.

New Look!

Yeah you probably already noticed that I changed my blog. I was bored with how it was. Maybe this will prompt me to blog more (I doubt it). But hey, ya never know. I really am going to try to get more pictures on here just as soon as I start taking more.

I've been pretty busy with work and school (not to mention I was sick for about a week) but I know I will have more to post shortly, just hang in there. Anywho, I must be off now to finish the dreaded homework.

Good night!

Really Random Pictures

I actually meant to post the one of Chester and the one of Colter like umm....2 months ago around Christmas but got side tracked. The other one I took the other day at the local cemetery.
